Crack the Code on Custom Protein Waffles

Have you cracked the code on custom made protein waffles or protein cakes yet? I've already given you a basic recipe for protein waffles. But did you know you can use protein waffles to hit full macros? It really is more of a formula and it's incredible adaptable. Use it to hit your macro goals perfectly in delicious ways!

The Formula for Protein Waffles and Protein Pancakes

Protein pancakes, protein waffles and protein cakes are the exact same recipe for me. One is just cooked in bowl in the microwave, one is cooked on a waffle maker, the other on the stove top.


It’s less of a recipe, more of a formula that I can adjust to make sure I hit my nutritional goals for the day.


I prefer to use casein protein powder. Some use a casein/whey blend. If you use just a whey protein powder, it is much more likely to turn out dry.

The main premise is a 1:1 ratio of bisquick to protein powder (or less). So if you use 40g of bisquick, use 40g protein powder or less. You can add in an egg or use peanut butter or applesauce to add in moisture. I use sparkling water instead of regular water to mix.


This concept works for ANY mixed box. Brownies, cakes, muffins, etc. Top with whatever you want. The options are unlimited!


It’s a fast and easy way to get some solid protein in, while feeling like you’re only eating carbs 😂
